In-Person Doctor's Appointments and Consultations

At Penn Medicine, the care you receive and staff you see at your appointments is the same as it was before the pandemic, but the processes are a little different. That's because we have strict visitor guidelines and safety policiesQuay thử miền nam hôm nay in place at our hospitals and practices to protect you and our staff.

  • You cannot bring anyone with you to your outpatient appointment, except when approved by your doctor's office to help with care. This also means that anyone who drives you to your appointment is not permitted inside the facilities, lobby or even cafeteria. They'll need to wait for you outside of the building.
  • Everyone inside our facilities must wear a face covering or mask at all times.
  • You will need to complete health screenings before entering the facility.

We've reorganized our waiting rooms and patient care areas to maximize physical distancing. Please socially distance from others as much as possible.

We've transitioned check-in for outpatient appointments to myPennMedicine through the Pre Check-In feature. Pre Check-In is the electronic way to fill out the healthcare forms that you would normally answer in the office, including confirming or updating your contact information, insurance, medications, allergies and current health issues. You can also pay any copays or bills online.

Telemedicine Appointments

For many patients, a phone or video visit is still the most appropriate way to see your Penn Medicine physician. We are offering virtual visits for a variety of services, certain new patient appointments and follow-up care.

Surgeries and Procedures

Quay thử miền nam hôm nayOur COVID-19 patient volume has stabilized to the point where we are confident we can safely care for all patients — those with COVID-19 and patients needing other types of medical care. We are taking a phased approach that will focus on scheduling medically necessary visits and procedures, including surgeries that Penn Medicine physicians have deemed critical for your health and well-being.

Our care environments and operating rooms are safe. We are rigorously cleaning and disinfecting our operating rooms, patient care rooms and waiting rooms several times a day, in accordance with infection control guidelines. We also have enough PPE to keep you and our staff safe.

Radiology Services

Penn Radiology has taken extra precautions to ensure our radiology facilities are safe and patients can get the imaging they need. Hours vary by location and are updated regularly. Please visit the Radiology Locations and Hours page for the most up-to-date information and to make an appointment.

Lab Services

The Laboratory Patient Service Centers are prioritizing orders for patients who require urgent laboratory testing. If you have routine or non-urgent lab testing orders from your provider that can be delayed safely, we ask that you postpone those orders so our lab professionals can focus on urgent testing. If you aren't sure how long you can safely delay, please speak with your provider.
